Division for Research and Innovation within the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture
Dr. Hartmut Stalb took over the role of the FACCE-JPI Chair in December 2016. Previously, he held a FACCE-JPI Vice Chair position since 2015.
Hartmut Stalb is currently the Head of Division for Research and Innovation within the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, BMEL (Germany). He is an agricultural economist by training and obtained his doctoral degree at the University of Kiel (Germany) and the University of Newcastle upon Tyne (UK).
From 1994 to 1997, he worked with the European Commission as a national expert. At present, Hartmut Stalb also represents the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) in the Standing Committee on Agricultural Research (SCAR).
