Alexander Nikolov Hristov

Professor Hristov is the Professor of Dairy Nutrition at the Department of Animal Science at Pennsylvania State University.

His main field of research is dairy cow nutrition, specifically improving the efficiency of utilization of dietary nutrients for milk synthesis and reducing nutrient losses and gaseous emissions from dairy operation.

He has served as Division Editor for the Ruminant Nutrition Section of the Journal of Animal Science and Associate Editor for the Canadian Journal of Animal Science. He has led initiatives on GHG mitigation in livestock production with the FO and has acted as an advisor to the EPA and other agencies related to the relationship between livestock production and GHG emissions.
