Upcoming: webinar ResidueGas project
On May 3rd, from 10-12 CET, the FACCE ERA-GAS project ResidueGas is organising a webinar where researchers from the project will present the results. ResidueGas has studied how different types of crop residues affect the greenhouse gas emissions and how they can be managed to improve the climate benefits of crop residue management. The outcomes and its relevance will be discussed from the perspective of different types of farming in Europe. Crop residues contributes substantial inputs of carbon and nitrogen to the soil. They are critical for sustaining soil fertility, and they make a major contribution to sustaining or enhancing soil carbon stocks. However, they also contribute to nitrous oxide emissions directly through addition of nitrogen in the crop residues and indirectly though affecting soil conditions and processes determining these emissions.
You are welcome to participate in the webinar!
More information, and registration, is available at the ResidueGas website.
